Elise contacted us to assist with drywall and installation at Roha as part of their new offices in Mooiplaat Centurion.
She already had a clear picture in mind of the drywall layout required but also required a very unique design for their windows. All the contractors informed her that the design she required was impossible to create.
As can be seen in the photos we used our technical expertise and knowledge on drywall and windows to not only create the desired look but to also ensure that the end product is perfectly finished.
The doors, glazing sections and top channel was all done in black powder coated finishes. The wooden skirting was stained black to match the powder coated finishes.
The walls was then painted with low sheen paint
As can be seen the final product was not only functional and absolutely unique but also aesthetically extremely pleasing.
The structure was created from galvanized floor track which was fixed to the floor with nail in screws, black powder coated wall channel fitted to the ceilings and walls where required and galvanized studs as per supplier recommendation. Corner sections done with galvanized angle and all secured with drywall screws.
It needs to be noted that accuracy when constructing the structure is of utmost importance. If the structure is poorly constructed the end product will be of poor visual quality. After the drywall structure was completed 12.5mm Gypsum board cladding was used.
Windows was fitted using black powder coated aluminium glazing sections, black powder coated beads, bubble gasket and 6.38mm safety glass.
Doors fitted had black powder frames, black powder coated hinges, black stained wooden doors with 4mm glass and special lock sets.
Joint was then fiber taped and two coats Rhinoglide applied. Once dry, the joints was sanded to a smooth finish in preparation for painting.
Well done to the team for an awesome and unique project!!!
