Flush Plastered ceilings
Buta contacted us to assist with flush plastered ceilings design and installation at Dadas Motors in Benoni as part of their new showroom.
They architect drawings for all the sections which needed flush plastered ceilings which specified which areas would be trimmed with either plaster trim or bulkheads.
He desired to accentuate the slow lounge areas, offices and show floor which to not only needed to impress but also give a atmosphere of sophistication whilst still creating a relaxing and conducive environment with a flush plastered ceilings design.
All walls was re-finished and either paint, tiles or new wall paper applied. We had to fix the flush plastered ceilings frame directly to the slab or purlin.
The final design was a flush plastered ceilings where the drop from the ceiling to the bottom edge was carefully planned to fit in with the height and with of the room desired. Too little or too much of a drop is aesthetically displeasing.
It looks amazing and compliments the surrounding areas amazingly.
The choice of designer wall paper and paint color choices work extremely well with ceilings. The perfect blend of modern class….
The structure of the ceiling was created from galvanized main tees and cross tees as per supplier recommendation. Corner sections done with galvanized angle and all secured with wafer tech screws if ceiling was part of the design or plaster trim.
It needs to be noted that accuracy when constructing the structure is of utmost importance. If the structure is poorly constructed the end product will be of poor visual quality. After the flush plastered ceiling structure was completed 9.5mm Gypsum board cladding was used to trim the structure.
After all of the above was completed two coats of Rhinolite was applied to the ceiling and skimmed to a smooth flawless finish.
Well done to the team!!!
