Brandon contacted us to assist with drywalls and frameless glass installation at Leads to Business in Honeydew as part of their new offices.
Plans has already been drawn up for the required drywalls but also required the installation of frameless glass.
We firstly had to install the drywalls prior to taking measurements to get the technical designs for the frameless glass done.
We also had to fit a frameless glass doors with side panes fitted to the drywalls and brushed stainless steel top hinges, bottom pneumatic hinges, handle and lock sets and striker boxes. The client also had vinyl frosting installed on the frameless glass panels to not only be decorative but also to allow some privacy.
After all drywalls and frameless glass was completed the electrical articulation was completed .
The drywalls was then painted by the clients’ painting contractors.
As can be seen the final product was not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and is a perfect example of how the combination of drywalls and frameless glass can be used to create innovative office spaces.
The structure was created from galvanized floor track which was fixed to the floor with nail in screws, aluminium natural anodized wall channel fitted to the ceilings and walls where required and galvanized studs as per supplier recommendation. Corner sections done with galvanized angle and all secured with drywall screws. Aluminium wall channels was used where aluminium abutments was required.
It needs to be noted that accuracy when constructing the structure is of utmost importance. If the structure is poorly constructed the end product will be of poor visual quality. After the drywalls structure was completed 12.5mm Gypsum board cladding was used.
Joint was then fiber taped and two coats Rhinoglide applied. Once dry, the joints was sanded to a smooth finish in preparation for painting.
Well done to the team!!!
